Peter Shirreffs is the Barclays Eagle Labs Manager in Glasgow, responsible for the day-to-day management of the Lab and overseeing its people, place and events. He works closely with residents, founders and visitors to ensure a welcoming and well-run environment, while supporting the Ecosystem Managers with activity delivered through the Lab.

Sandra Leece is the UK General Counsel for Vattenfall, an award-winning energy lawyer and experienced non-executive director and board member. Based in Scotland, she has more than 25 years of legal and leadership experience advising boards and executive teams on strategy, governance, risk and the delivery of complex renewable energy and infrastructure projects across the UK and internationally.

As a Board Member of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the UK, Sandra brings a strong understanding of Swedish business in the UK and the opportunities created by closer Swedish-Scottish collaboration. She is delighted to be involved in the Swedish Business Footprint in Scotland 2026, bringing together business leaders to explore Swedish investment and enterprise in Scotland and opportunities for further collaboration across innovation, sustainability and growth.

Dr Duncan Booker in a senior manager in Glasgow City Council’s economic development service. He works on a policy agenda that includes the green economy, innovation and international links. Duncan was previously part of the city’s COP26 team, with a key remit to engage the city’s existing sustainability ambitions with the event and deliver a legacy from it. He has worked in policy development roles in local government for more than twenty years and previously served as an adviser to the Council Leader. He was also Glasgow’s lead officer for membership of the WHO European Healthy Cities network and the Rockefeller Foundation’s Resilient Cities Network. Duncan drafted the city’s cross-party recommendations on the climate emergency, which resulted in Glasgow committing to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. He is a lead officer for the Council on the innovation agenda and has worked with partners to deliver the UK Government supported Innovation Accelerator programme for Glasgow City Region from its inception. He also co-ordinates the Glasgow Economic Leadership Innovation workstream on behalf of local triple helix partners. Duncan is a graduate of the Universities of Oxford and Glasgow.

Since entering the renewables sector in 2010, John has worked across solar, wind, battery storage and low-carbon heat. He joined Vattenfall in February 2022, initially supporting the development of city-scale heat networks in Scotland. In 2025, he moved into a senior project manager role within the Onshore Wind Market & Site Development team. He now leads the Growth & Development team, overseeing the portfolio from new-site identification through to planning application submission.

Peggy Gregory is a Senior Lecturer in Software Engineering at the University of Glasgow and an internationally recognised researcher in empirical software engineering and agile practice, with over 25 years of academic experience. Her research investigates software engineering practice with the aim of developing insights that improve industry practice. She focuses on human and technical practices and works closely with industry partners to understand the context and complexity of specific challenges. She holds numerous leadership positions including Chair of the School of Computing Science Industry Advisory Board and Co-Director of the SICSA Graduate Academy.

Paul joined Scania in July 1994 as a Technician at the Edinburgh branch. Since then, he has progressed through several positions within the business, becoming Workshop Foreman in 1995 and Workshop Manager in 2002, before transitioning into new vehicle sales in 2005. He was appointed Sales Manager in 2016, a role that was later rebadged as Head of Truck Sales in 2019, before taking on his current position as Regional Director in 2022.

In his current role, Paul is responsible for Scania’s eight sites across Scotland, overseeing all sales and service operations delivered through these branches. The region serves customers across truck, bus, coach and power solutions, and currently has a headcount of 226 staff.

Luis has 25 years of experience in the space industry, specialising in the small satellite field. He joined AAC Clyde Space in 2019 from Britain’s Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd, where he was CTO and Executive Director with responsibility for defining and implementing both technical and commercial strategies.

Dr Konstantina (“Tina”) Linardopoulou is Founders Associate & Programme Manager at LumiAIres, a deep-tech company developing neuromorphic photonic AI hardware for energy-efficient edge intelligence. Her role combines programme delivery, commercial partnerships and strategic development to support LumiAIres’ growth.

Tina began in animal science, completing doctoral research that used radar sensing to address practical sector challenges. She later founded and led a radar-sensing technology spinout, gaining first-hand experience of taking research-led technology towards commercial application. She brings that translational, entrepreneurial and operational perspective to LumiAIres, helping turn technical capability into credible partnerships, funded programmes and routes to market.

James Lindsay has been with IKEA for more than 25 years, starting his career in Glasgow and progressing through a range of leadership roles, including Market Manager positions in Dublin, Edinburgh, and Glasgow. He has also contributed to two global IKEA projects, working with international teams to support the business beyond local markets.

Gordon McLarnon is an Inward Investment Specialist in Energy Transition at Scottish Development International. He works with international companies looking to invest and grow in Scotland, with a particular focus on offshore wind and the wider energy transition. Gordon helps companies navigate the Scottish market, connecting them with industry partners, investment opportunities and Scotland’s business support ecosystem.
