10 June, 08:30 - 11:00
Join us for an intimate roundtable discussion taking stock of a turbulent first half of 2026 and the forces reshaping the global economic order. Hosted in collaboration with Danske Bank at their brand-new London offices, this session will bring together a carefully selected group of senior leaders from the financial sector and wider business community for a focused and dynamic exchange on the new geopolitical reality - its impact on the world economy and the UK, and how Britain must redefine its role and positioning in a rapidly changing world.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with expert voices from geopolitics, macroeconomics, and the financial markets, share perspectives over a light breakfast, and contribute to a forward-looking mid-year review of the challenges and opportunities facing businesses today. The roundtable is designed as a space for open dialogue, practical insight, and peer-to-peer exchange at the highest level.

Giles Wilkes splits his time between Flint Global, a fast-growing business advisory specialising in politics, economics and regulatory affairs, and the Institute for Government where he writes about business and economic policy. His qualifications for doing so depend on his previous experience as a special adviser to a prime minister (Theresa May, 2017-19) and to the Business Secretary Vince Cable (2010-14), with the time in between spent at the Financial Times writing editorials and the Lex Column.
