18 March, 17:30 - 20:00
The SCC UK Young Professionals' Network invites you to an evening all about coffee with Löfbergs UK – exploring the story, flavour and craft behind one of the world’s favourite drinks. This interactive masterclass will focus on the journey of coffee, how it is sourced and roasted, and what truly makes a great cup.
Join us for an evening where experts from Löfbergs, one of the leading coffee roasters in the Nordics, will guide you through the fundamentals of coffee – from bean to brew. You will learn about different origins and roasting styles, how they affect taste and aroma, and what to look for when choosing and preparing coffee.
Following an introduction to Löfbergs and their work in the UK, you will take part in a hands-on session on the basics of coffee making and an interactive coffee tasting. You will compare different coffees, experiment with flavour profiles and pick up practical tips to improve your everyday brewing routine. The evening will end with informal mingling, giving you time to continue conversations and enjoy your favourite cup.
Whether you are a long-time coffee enthusiast or simply curious to learn more, this event offers a relaxed and social way to deepen your understanding of coffee – in the company of fellow Young Professionals and the experts at Löfbergs.
About Löfbergs
Löfbergs is one of the biggest coffee roasters in the Nordic region, doing things the Löfbergs way since 1906. If they can improve their coffee or change the way they work for the benefit of people and the planet, they do it. They don’t mind being different, because they believe that’s what gives them – and their customers – the power to make a difference in the world.

Wilson Clarke has over 30 years of experience in the coffee industry. Alongside two friends, they built Darlington’s Coffee into the largest independent coffee wholesaler in London. The business was successfully acquired by Bewley’s Coffee in 2010, after which Wilson served as a Director of Bewley’s UK until 2015.
In 2016, Wilson joined Lofbergs, at a time when the company had no brand presence in the UK and annual sales of approximately 100 tonnes. Löfberg also owned the Percol brand, which was sold in 2020. Following the sale, Wilson played a key role in establishing and growing the Löfbergs brand in the UK market. Today, Löfberg sis the third largest retail coffee brand in the UK—behind Lavazza and Taylors of Harrogate—and sells nearly 3,000 tonnes annually.
Wilson lives in Kent and is a proud father of four children
