Simon has a long career in strategic communications, including roles on the Executive Committees of Centrica and Vodafone as Director of Corporate Affairs. He was Vice Chair EMEA at FTI Consulting and previously spent nine years as Chief Executive of the investment banking trade body the Association for Financial Markets in Europe.
He has a longstanding interest in both education and social mobility, having chaired the UK-US Fulbright Commission from 2009-13 and currently is the Chair of Young Enterprise. He was awarded an OBE in 2014 for services to international education. Simon is also a founding member of the Speakers for Schools programme.
He also was the first Communication Secretary to the late Queen and Director of Communications and Official Spokesman at Number 10 for Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
Simon is a Non-Executive Director of Innovate Finance and he now runs his own advisory firm Lewis Advisors, providing strategic counsel to business leaders, in partnership with his eldest son Thomas, and Stuart Roden, founding chair of Lansdowne Partners. William is a veteran television producer and media executive as well as a published author. In the 90s he ran one of the UK’s largest factual production companies and then in 2000 went on to join Nigella Lawson where he launched her into television and created her best selling lifestyle brand Living Kitchen. Having been bought out of Nigella’s company he went to the commercial arm of the BBC where he was Head of Talent. In 2015 he set up his own TV development business, Raconteur Studios, which in the last 2 years expanded into radio and podcast production and was here he created the chart topping podcast – When it Hits the Fan with Simon and David.

Susanna brings over 20 years of experience in public relations and the international promotion of Sweden. She holds an MSc in Communications from New York University (NYU) and, since 2012, has headed the Culture, Communication and Language unit at the Swedish Institute, a public agency under the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. In this role, she most recently oversaw the development of Sweden’s new nation branding strategy, commissioned by the government.
