About the event
With a focus on circular economy, the Young Professionals and IKEA Greenwich are teaming up to close the loop.
The evening will start with a tour, highlighting why the Greenwich store is the most sustainable IKEA ever built. After that, IKEA will organise a workshop about prolonging the life of their products from both the company’s and the customers' point of view. Succeeding the inspirational learning session, the evening will end with a networking session on IKEA's beautiful rooftop.
About IKEA Greenwich
IKEA wants to offer the many people ways to live a better everyday life, but within the limits of our planet.
With resources becoming more and more scarce, IKEA is rethinking the way they do everything as a business. Sustainable stores are a big step toward these goals and an ambition for all major markets. They will help to position IKEA as a local and global brand that cares about the environment and the economic and social wellbeing of the people we touch. IKEA stores will become community touchpoints where IKEA will be able to share ways to live a more sustainable life at home, and take-back hubs where IKEA products can live many lives in a cycle of reuse and repair.
IKEA Greenwich and the Learning Lab embody this commitment to a sustainable and circular future without compromising growth & profitability. The Learning Lab is a unique space to Greenwich and aims to inspire and enable customers to have less wasteful and more sustainable lives with IKEA products. Together with IKEA Greenwich Learning Lab, we’ll be hosting the next SCC YP to discuss ‘How to become a circular business?’. We will do this through a brief interactive workshop and screenings and hopefully together we will find solutions that can help us move closer to a world without waste.
