An intravenous treatment is often a vital part of a patient's recovery and requires a vascular access device. 80% of all admitted patients receive an IV treatment, where 1/3 of the peripheral venous catheters (PIVCs) fail and 13 % are dislodged due to poor securement. This means that the treatment is interrupted and must be restarted with a new PIVC. IV-bracelet is designed to prevent the PIVC from moving by affixing the infusion line to the product which stops it from pulling on the PIVC and therefore reduces the risk for thrombophlebitis and dislodgement. By using the IV-bracelet you can get safer and more efficient treatments, reduced workload and also cost savings, due to less IV restarts and complications.
