Masterclass series: Healthtech

The Masterclass Series: Healthtech is a growth programme specially designed for tech SMEs within Healthtech based in Southern Sweden. The programme will focus on increasing knowledge about the British market and getting access to a unique business network, providing opportunities for long-term establishment and growth in the UK. On behalf of Invest in Skåne, the SCC arranges a programme that offers pitch sessions, workshops, and individual coaching to selected businesses that are ready to establish and grow on the UK market.

Contents of the programme

The five selected companies get the opportunity to strengthen their abilities to grow and compete internationally, with unique insights from seasoned entrepreneurs, market experts, and with first-hand support in finding connections and expanding their network.

The programme covers topics such as operational set-up in the UK, identifying customers and partners, the UK marketing landscape and the procurement process. In addition to this, the companies will partake in a two-day coaching programme, in person in England together with NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme, the world's largest workforce development programme for healthcare professionals. The programme will help the companies understand what British-based investors are looking for and coach companies to perfect their pitch. It will also focus on increasing the understanding of the funding ecosystem, networking with investors, NHS entrepreneurs and key stakeholders.

The aim of the programme is to give the participants business connections, the toolkit and knowledge needed for a successful expansion to the UK.

An intravenous treatment is often a vital part of a patient's recovery and requires a vascular access device. 80% of all admitted patients receive an IV treatment, where 1/3 of the peripheral venous catheters (PIVCs) fail and 13 % are dislodged due to poor securement. This means that the treatment is interrupted and must be restarted with a new PIVC. IV-bracelet is designed to prevent the PIVC from moving by affixing the infusion line to the product which stops it from pulling on the PIVC and therefore reduces the risk for thrombophlebitis and dislodgement. By using the IV-bracelet you can get safer and more efficient treatments, reduced workload and also cost savings, due to less IV restarts and complications.
