Essity joins the SCC patronship

21 July 2020

Leading global hygiene and health company Essity has become a patron to support the Swedish-British business community.

Essity's roots go all the way back to 1929 when hygiene and forest products company SCA, of which it previously was a part of, was founded. In 2017, Essity was listed on Nasdaq Stockholm as a separate company working in hygiene operations. Since its acquisition of BSN medical in 2017, the company has also moved into the medical arena. It now develops, produces and sells products and solutions within the business areas personal care, consumer tissue and professional hygiene. Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, it conducts sales in approximately 150 countries under leading global brands TENA and Tork and other strong brands, such as JOBST, Leukoplast, Libero, Libresse, Lotus, Nosotras, Saba, Tempo, Vinda and Zewa. Essity employs about 46,000 people worldwide.

The patronship of the Chamber consists of a core group of member businesses, all committed to the long-term support of the Swedish-British business community. The patrons are advocates for the members of the Chamber and in return, the patronship comes with a range of added benefits, exclusive access and invites as well as extended marketing and networking opportunities.
