Veg of Lund A.B. in Sweden have a mission to be the world’s leading producer of plant-based foods that are great tasting, sustainable, allergy free products based on our globally patented process for creating products from potatoes. The role of the Commercial Executive (UK) is to maximise visibility and rate of sale for the UK company’s portfolio of brands with targeted customers within the UK region. The role is all about having a great attitude, high energy, curiosity and will combine responsibility for the day to day running of a portfolio of accounts predominantly within the wholesale and food service sectors alongside providing a secondary point of contact for other major accounts across the entire company portfolio. Additionally, the Commercial Executive will have responsibility for all aspects of their accounts business including administration, customer service, trade marketing, deal structure and credit control.

Job description

To actively develop the presence of the UK company’s products within a portfolio of existing accounts and to actively seek new customers to profitably extend the distribution of the company’s products further. In addition, the Commercial Executive will provide a support role to the UK based sales team and become a secondary contact for all major accounts.

Principal Accountabilities (Including approximate division):

  1. Sales of company brands within their current portfolio of accounts 30%
  2. Development of new accounts within specified sectors 30%
  3. Support for senior sales team with identified day to day responsibility in major accounts 20%
  4. Management of trade marketing agenda (including social media) within own accounts and support for trade marketing across the company’s business 10%
  5. Provision of a first port of call for customer service enquiries from customers and consumers 5%
  6. Accuracy of administration and reporting requirements for all accounts within portfolio 5%

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

Essential :

  1. Graduate Calibre or be able to demonstrate relevant experience
  2. Field Sales or Account Management Experience
  3. Understanding of UK FMCG industry, preferably the Food & Drink industry
  4. Passionate about the plant based FMCG industry and sustainability


  1. Understanding and experience of Route to Market (RTM) operations
  2. Understanding of National and Regional markets
  3. Be Structured Sales Trained
  4. Understanding of marketing, trade marketing and social media platforms
