Mentorship Programme - for next generation leaders

The Mentorship Programme for the next generation of leaders offers a unique opportunity for young professionals to benefit from an exclusive twelve-month programme of group workshops and individual mentoring by experienced and successful senior industry professionals from across the Swedish-British business community.

Contents of the programme

This twelve months programme connects young and ambitious talents with experienced international business professionals from across all fields and sectors. The mentors are all experts in their fields, and have international business experience.

The programme includes a series of four joint group workshops and seminars, facilitated by the course director, and involving both mentors and mentees. In addition, mentors and mentees meet for one-to-one mentoring sessions over the course of the year, whether it’s face to face, over Skype or phone. The programme is open to London based mentee applicants, ideally a couple of years into their career. Members of the SCC’s Young Professionals are prioritised.

Deputy CEO, Handelsbanken Plc

Tracey Davidson started her career at Barclays where she worked across the UK latterly in a variety of senior positions within the corporate and wealth management divisions. Tracey joined Handelsbanken in 2003 and accelerated her career quickly becoming Senior Vice President and Head of Northern UK in 2010 where she was also a member of Handelsbanken Group management. During this time Tracey was entrusted to lead an acquisition team to identify and acquire an investment and wealth management business in order to meet the demands of its UK customers. After the successful acquisition of Heartwood Wealth Management Tracey was appointed CEO in 2014. Tracey is also a board member at PIMFA and CISI.

Richard Hildebrand specialises in all aspects of corporate work and in particular UK corporate finance transactions and UK and International mergers and acquisitions (both public and private). He is also experienced in other areas of corporate work including joint ventures, commercial contracts and general company advice. Richard has been particularly active in the Alternative Investment Market advising new entrants, listed companies and nominated advisers/brokers on a wide range of transactions across a variety of industry sectors.

Chris Philipsborn is Managing Partner, Kreab London and Chairman of the European Government Business Relations Council (Ad Hoc Council). A graduate of the LSE and former journalist, Chris has broadcast and written for many media outlets including The Financial Times, The Economist and BBC World Service. Chris is a former Head of European Corporate Affairs at BT Group and has served on three management boards, including Sellafield ltd, Europe’s largest nuclear site, and The Salzburg Global Seminar, a foreign policy think tank.
Astrid Maria Dahl

Head of Transactions, Executive Director, Business Development and Licensing, Oncology R&D

Maria is the global Head of Transactions for AstraZeneca Business Development and Licensing, Oncology R&D. Maria has more than 15 years experience in the US and UK pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, primarily in business development and portfolio management.  She has among other served as Head of Business Development Oncology and subsequently Vice-President Oncology Portfolio Management at IPSEN and since 2012 in different senior BD roles at AstraZeneca. She has a Ph.D in Tumor Immunology from UCL, did her post-doctoral work in Immunology at Harvard Medical School and has an MBA from University of California at Berkeley.

Since founding her own agency more than a decade ago Lotta has been a dominating force in the advertising industry. Her accolades in global positions at the top agencies and holding companies of the world speak for themselves. She was also named among Advertising Age's first Women to Watch Europe, which recognizes outstanding women in marketing, advertising and media. Beyond her clear success in the advertising industry she also founded 4 ventures within Fashion, production and communication

Mark Prisk

Mark Prisk

Former Business and Housing Minister & MP

Mark Prisk FRICS MP has been a Parliamentarian and company director over the last thirty years. He has a track record of leadership and delivery in both public and private sectors, as a non-executive director; having started and run his own business for ten years; and as a Government Minister (2010-13). In Government he served as Business and Housing Minister between 2010-2013 and is a senior member of the Commons Housing, Communities & Local Government Select Committee.

Since 2014 Mark has been the Prime Minister's Trade & Investment Envoy to the Nordic & Baltic nations. This work has involved him in building strong political, diplomatic and business connections both in Sweden and in the UK.

Axel Berning has more than 15 years of experience in corporate & investment banking. He joined DNB in 2007 and has since then worked in Sweden, Norway and now the UK. He has held a number of management positions including Global Head of TMT, Head of Corporate Banking Sweden and Head of Debt Capital Market Sweden. Axel has a broad range of experience in loan and leverage buy out origination.

Former Managing Director, Tate and Non-Executive Director

From 2014 to 2019 Kerstin Mogull was the Managing Director at Tate, encompassing Tate Modern, Tate Britain, Tate Liverpool and Tate St. Ives. In this role she established vision and strategy, directed operations and delivered performance against ambitious targets. In her previous career, Kerstin Mogull held a number of senior roles at the BBC across policy, strategy, digital and operations. She has also been Chief Operating Officer at BBC Future Media & Technology, where she rolled out a range of online initiatives and global partnerships. Kerstin is an experienced non-executive director and held a Board position with Bonnier AB between 2015-2018.  She is currently a Board member of ColArt Ltd (Linden gruppen) and a Council Member of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce.

Elisabet has extensive experience in “how to create winning teams”, facilitating and coaching team success with client organisations all around the world.  She has co-written two multi-award-winning books on the subject of winning teams. Her third book, Amazon bestselling “The Leader’s Guide to Impact” was released by Financial Times in April 2019. Elisabet is a leading voice on future leadership, winning teams, collaboration and culture change in the enterprise, enabling people through transformation and enterprise sustainability practices. She also actively operates as a consultant, speaker and executive coach, having provided strategic leadership and tactical solutions to clients around the world, including American Express, H&M, Skanska, Greenpeace, SOS Children’s Villages and ABN-AMRO.

Patrik Högberg is the Managing Director of Loomis UK and has a long managerial experience within the company. Previous to his career in Loomis, he was the Scandinavian CEO of the Dutch publishing and software company Wolters Kluwer between 2006-2009. Further, Patrik was the Managing Director at Svensk Kassaservice between 2001-2006, a subsidiary to the Swedish post where he also was a member of the top managing team previous to his position as Managing Director. Patrik has an executive MBA from Stockholm Business School and educational merits in board work and strategy. Patrik was a mentor during 2011-2017 in the Executive Mentoring Program at the Stockholm School of Economics Executive Education and 2014-2015 in Novares/Veckans Affärers Mentoring program.

Maj-Britt Krejcir is the CFO and Deputy UK Country Head of SEB in the UK, a role that includes direct responsibility for all staff and support functions. She has over twenty years of experience from the financial industry in various positions. Before taking the current role she was the Deputy CFO and Head of Business Control for the LC&FI division of SEB, a position she held since 2006.

Anna Nicholson is Global Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at EF Education First - the world leader in international education. She leads the B2B-team, which is focused on developing a strong and consistent global brand across all markets and building and developing deep relationships with existing and prospective clients. Before EF, Anna ran global marketing for Expedia's B2B arm and, for ten years, was Head of UK Marketing & Business Development at Bain & Company - one of the top three international strategy-consulting firms.

In addition, Anna sits on a number of not-for-profit boards and committees, including Eastside Educational Trust, a performing arts based charity in east London. Anna holds an MA in the History of International Relations from the London School of Economics and a BA in History from the University of York.

Carsten has more than 20 years of experience in working with international corporate customers in the Nordics, Germany and currently, the UK.  Carsten has had a varied banking career, having worked within international relationship management, global cash management, business development and personal banking. Supported by his team in London, he is currently working closely with external colleagues across the Nordic region, to maintain and develop customer relationships across all business segments. Throughout his career, Carsten has successfully led and been involved in cross-cultural collaboration with multiple stakeholders across a large organisation.

Lisa Poole is a corporate affairs specialist with over 20 years experience in providing strategic counsel to politicians, CEOs and their boards. She specialises in corporate reputation management, as well as in developing and delivering integrated influencing campaigns to protect and build business value.  Lisa is currently working as director of public and regulatory affairs at Vattenfall, the Swedish state-owned energy company, where she manages the team that leads the company’s external engagement. Away from work, Lisa is a trustee of Global Action Plan, a charity that is working for a green and thriving planet by helping people live more sustainable lifestyles.

Corporate Advisor and Non-Executive Director

Adine Grate is a vastly experienced Executive and Non-Executive Board Director with more than 25 years of experience of international business. Her current and recent board directorships have included; Sky Plc (the leading listed media company in Europe until its recent acquisition by Comcast), Sampo Plc (the largest listed financial holding group in the Nordic region), Three Group (a major telecom group belonging to the Hong Kong conglomerate CK Hutchison Holdings) and AP7, the Swedish state-owned investment fund, where she was Vice Chairman. Her primary sectoral focus over the years has been in TMT and financial services. She is also co-founder of Skiff Capital Advisors Ltd, a corporate advisory firm. Formerly she had a long and distinguished career with Investor AB, where she was an Executive Vice President and a Member of the Executive Board.
