According to EF, Sweden consistently ranks as one of the top nations in English proficiency for non-native speakers. But while the majority of Swedes are more or less fluent, writing about and marketing oneself or a business in English can be more difficult than you think. Because of how the Swedish language is constructed and uses certain words, there are specific kinds of mistakes we often see when Swedes use English. The text may miss the mark (and thus fail to connect with potential customers) by using the wrong tone, nuance, or cultural reference.

Welcome to this Virtual Drinks and Workshop with Dave Odegard and Maja Svensson from Svengard & Co., who will dissect the most common errors in professional settings, in a fun and informative way, along with providing suggestions on what to say or write instead.

NB: This webinar is targeted at young professionals under the age of 35. Please also note that while most of this webinar will be in English, some Swedish will be spoken and the focus will be on professional English as a foreign language with the background of Swedish as a mother tongue.
