Gin has enjoyed an extraordinary renaissance over the past years, and this exclusive, bespoke tasting invites the Young Professionals to navigate the history and tastes of gin from the very beginning. The tasting will start with the origins of gin in Europe’s low countries, take guests on a journey through the gin craze that almost destroyed London, before an exploration of the contemporary gin drinking world.

At this gin tasting, led by The Intrepid Collective, you will learn how to taste and nose like a professional, before being led through the tasting of a range of gin-styles by a leading drinks educator. You will be given the opportunity to ask questions, discuss tasting notes and finally vote for your favourite gin. At the end of the tasting, you are invited to stay and enjoy the rest of your drinks together with the other Young Professionals.

Young Professionals who sign up for the event will receive an engagement box delivered to their home including 5 x 30ml measures of premium gin, alongside gourmet treats. To ensure the box gets delivered on time for the event, please send your delivery address and any dietary requirements to events@scc.org.uk no later than Friday 23 April.

This event is hosted by Alasdair Moore from experiential marketing and events agency The Intrepid Collective, and drinks expert Alison Taffs from The Grape Society. Alison and Alasdair have previously worked together on tasting events for American Express, Home House, Hearst Live, Investec Bank and Ralph Lauren and look forward to welcoming YP members to this exclusive, bespoke event.
