Scotland-Sweden Business Exchange

Together with The Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce in Scotland, the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the UK invites you to an exchange mission for Scottish and Swedish businesses, looking at the opportunities and support available when setting up in respective country, and helping you with an ecosystem boost.

The UK and Sweden are long-standing trade and investment partners with total trade value in the year up until April 2019 at £20.9 billion (ONS). The business and cultural exchange between Scotland and Sweden is extensive. Scotland as a region and country is known for its supportive business environment, talented people, and culture of innovation. In fact, more university spinouts are created in Scotland than anywhere else in the UK – including London. Sweden is a highly competitive and open economy, fostering innovation, and the government is proactively investing to promote growth.

Exchange session #1: May
If you and your business are interested in learning more about how to setup, expand to, do business or build connections with Scotland and Sweden, join us for this Scotland-Sweden exchange. Hear from our experts on how to manage setting up a business, the applicable laws for HR and recruitment and what customs and trade rules to follow. The exchange is interactive, and you will get the opportunity to ask questions and get unique access to a network that can help you in the process of setting up.

Exchange session #2: September
A second exchange will take place in September, focusing more on in-depth and sector-specific opportunities for Scottish and Swedish businesses, looking at e.g. food tech, energy & renewables, games, fintech and life sciences. You will meet successful entrepreneurs from respective region and learn about the opportunities available in Scotland and Sweden for your specific sector and business.
