Extension of the Youth Mobility Scheme to Sweden

26 March 2021

With Britain's exit from the European Union, the freedom of movement has come to an end, which is fully understandable. However, we think it's important to continue facilitating and actively driving the cultural and business exchange between Sweden and the UK, and this affinity to our respective cultures and business communities has often come through professionals' formative youth years.

That is why the
Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the UK and the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, today encouraged the Swedish government to engage with its UK counterparts on the extension of the UK's Youth Mobility Scheme to Sweden, in order to fully enable the valuable exchange of our youth. We know this means so much for individuals' international experience, linguistic skills and future networks - and it benefits both business and society at large. It is a true win-win.
