Count Bertil Bernadotte is presented Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the UK’s Extraordinary Member Award 2019

6 December 2019

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the UK (SCC) is pleased to announce that Count Bertil Bernadotte is presented the Extraordinary Member Award 2019, today on 6 December at The Landmark Hotel in London. Count Bernadotte receives the prize for his “dedicated, outstanding and long-term support of the Chamber’s mission to promote Swedish-British business relations”.

Count Bernadotte has a long history with the Swedish Chamber, spanning back to the 1980’s. He is today an Honorary Vice President of its Council. Over the years, Count Bernadotte has been an active member of the Swedish-British business community, an elected member of the SCC Council and one of the founders of the Chamber’s patronship back in the early 1990s, a legacy now boasting 40+ corporate members.

The award is presented to Count Bernadotte today at the Swedish Chamber’s Annual Christmas Luncheon – the largest Swedish Christmas luncheon outside of Sweden - at The Landmark Hotel in London, by the SCC Chairman Jan Olsson, CEO Nordics at Deutsche Bank.

“Count Bernadotte has been an active supporter of the Chamber’s cause and the Swedish-British business community over the years. In light of his long-term contribution, he was appointed Honorary Vice President of the SCC Council in 2002. Today’s prize is an acknowledgement of his continuous support,” says Peter Sandberg, Managing Director of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the UK.

Count Bertil Bernadotte is the second recipient of the award, following Dr Anders Wall who received the first award in 2018.
