Christmas Raffle 2016: In aid of West London Day Centre
1 January 2015
Just a hundred metres from Sweden House in fashionable Marylebone, West London Day Centre is hidden around the corner of Seymour Place. Every day more than 100 homeless people visit the day centre in need of support and comfort. There, they are given essential services to meet their basic needs, such as a hot breakfast, a shower, clean clothes and medical support. The service is open to anyone over the age of 25, regardless of nationality, that is affected by homelessness. Last year they supported 1621 individuals.
In addition to the short term relief, the centre also provides long term solutions to their homelessness through comprehensive advice and referral services. The support workers addresses the client’s underlying issues and helps with accommodation as well as jobs. Every month the centre helps 20 to 30 people off the streets into accommodation.
We are happy to announce that this year’s profits from the Christmas Luncheon Raffle will be donated to West London day Centre. Together with your contributions we can help transforming the lives of people affected by homelessness.
