Every year at the highly popular Christmas Luncheon, the Chamber arranges a raffle for all the guests attending. This gives our Members a perfect opportunity to showcase their products and services in a creative way for more than 500 business professionals. All donations are greatly appreciated and all contributors will be mentioned in the programme on the night. Prices in the past have ranged from dinners at high end restaurants, flight tickets, champagne hampers, to the latest tech. We are proud to reveal that the 2015 raffle raised £2,500 for charity.
This year we are delighted to announce that the proceeds from the grand raffle will go to the West London Day Centre. Every day, over 100 homeless people visit the centre for support and comfort. There, they are given essential services to meet their basic needs, such as a hot breakfast, shower, clean clothes and medical support. The service is open to anyone over the age of 25, regardless of nationality, who is affected by homelessness. Last year 1,621 individuals were supported by the Center.
In addition to the short term relief, the centre also provides long term solutions through comprehensive advice and referral services. The support workers address the underlying issues and help with accommodation, as well as finding jobs. Every month the centre helps 20 to 30 people off the streets and into accommodation. Together with your contributions we can help transforming the lives of people affected by homelessness.
